As the owner of Comedor, a renowned restaurant in Puerto Rico, Hugo has demonstrated his ability to create inviting atmospheres and deliver exceptional cuisine. Hugo’s creativity extends beyond Comedor, as he was also the mastermind behind several other successful restaurants in Puerto Rico. Ricky Ocana, a dynamic and seasoned hospitality business operator whose wealth of experience enriches the offerings of Caribbean Catering. With a career spanning several decades, Ricky has garnered expertise in food and beverage operations, honing his skills to deliver unparalleled service and excellence.

Ricky’s journey in hospitality began in 1986, where he served as the Banquet Captain at the prestigious Ritz Carlton Downtown Atlanta. His commitment to service excellence was further recognized when he became the Director of Guest Activities at the Ritz Carlton Buckhead, which received the esteemed Malcom Waldrige Award in 1989 for service excellence, the highest Presidential recognition.

Returning to his roots in Puerto Rico, Ricky played a pivotal role in the opening team of the iconic El Conquistador Resort & Casino in Fajardo. Here, he managed the operations of two on-property restaurants and oversaw the hotel’s banquets department. His leadership extended to the management of Palomino Island, the resort’s private island, where he ensured unparalleled guest experiences.

Bringing his wealth of experience to other renowned hotels in Puerto Rico, such as the Normandie Hotel, Ricky has consistently demonstrated his ability to drive operational excellence and deliver exceptional hospitality.
